The Zip needs to be unpacked in your AO directory in (Where you have AO)\cd_image\data\db. Then you need to run patch.bat to install the patch. Run restore.bat to remove the patch (if possible). The patch modifies ResourceDatabase.dat, no other files.
Anarchy Online can not be running while you apply patch or restore!
